The Courses
The Beer City races start and finish at A Place to Play in Santa Rosa and run along the Santa Rosa Creek Trails. These are flat courses that have a mixture of paved bike paths, gravel trails, and (very brief) roadway shoulders. They are also beatiful. You'll run along the creeks and by vineyards hardly knowing you are in a city.
Aid Stations offer a mixture of water, Skratch sports drink, and (half marathon only) gels and blocks. All courses are marked with signs and mileage markers.
Half Marathon
The Half Marathon starts with a small loop around A Place to Play. This is there so we can yell at you. After this, the course is figure-eight-ish with sections around Piner Creek and Peterson Creek Trails which rotate from one side of the creeks to the other on the sidewalks of Willowside, Guerniville, Pierson, and Stony Point Roads. There is an out-and-back section between Fulton Street Aid Station and Stony Point Road Aid Station. Come prepared to lay on some high fives in that short section where you see the rest of your fellow halfers! The altitude profile is +/- 118 ft.
